About
As a mathematics teacher at Pompano Beach High (rated in the top 2% of public high schools in the nation) with over a decade of teaching experience and over 15 years of tutoring experience, I bring a lot of knowledge and experience of teaching students with a wide array of learning styles. I teach AP Calculus AB and BC (calculus 1&2), which are hard subjects to digest. I try to teach it in easy small bites. My methods work seeing that I have an 80+% pass rate on my AP exams, which is higher than both the state and national percentages.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically, when I am hired, the student already has something they would like to work on. If so, I will start at the beginning of the assignment at hand, and I will be able to quickly gauge where they are. Often times, I have to back up and teach a topic or two to get the student back on track.
If the student is needing a more general study, I start by diagnosing where they are and I will add support to what they know as well as build upon the foundation they already have.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
1. I earned a Masters Degree in Mathematical Sciences in 2020.
2. I have taught in Broward County for 10 years.
3. I have been tutoring for over 15 years.
4. I have taught AP computer science A (Java) and have taken a graduate level course in Java
5. I am certified in Microsoft office Excel (MOS Excel and MOS Excel expert).

How did you get started teaching?
Both of my parents were teachers. After leaving the business field, I decided to follow in my parents' footsteps and try teaching as a substitute teacher. I loved it. So, after getting certified, I was hired at the school I am at now. Since, I have received my masters degree in Mathematical Sciences.
