Math Workshop

About

I recently graduated from Florida International University (FIU) with honors and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. I have tutored students of all ages and educational backgrounds, and I realized that I am particularly good at this job. My trick is simple. When I teach my students, I make the material relatable and easier to understand. I tell them my approach to particular problems. What makes me special as a tutor is that I hope that my students won't need me one day. I will give them the necessary tools that will allow them to study independently in the future. I will give them advice that I wish I have gotten at an earlier age, and I promise to be a role model for my students. It is extremely fulfilling to see your students thrive. I am exceptionally good at teaching my students math. I have reached the math level of calculus II during my undergraduate years and only obtained an A letter grade in all my math classes. My dream is to become a professor and I strongly believe that having your students' best intentions at heart is what makes for a successful educator.

Frequently asked questions

First and foremost, I will get a feel for the classroom material and what the students are struggling with, and what they are good at. After accessing the student, I will help them with areas that they are struggling with and I will give them educational advice simultaneously. This advice can include how to study, how to approach academic faculty, or how to accommodate any classroom's need.

My B.S. degree in Biochemistry has allowed me to have a strong math and science background.

My standard pricing is $50 an hour.

I first started teaching as early as my freshman year of high school. I would help struggling students in my classes or offer tutoring lessons after school in subjects like math and chemistry. Later on in college, I started freelance tutoring in algebra, trigonometry, calculus, biology, analytical chemistry, and quantum mechanics.

I have worked with students of all ages and academic backgrounds. I trust that my multi-cultural background will maintain an inclusive environment where my students feel respected and valued.

I currently volunteer at Lotus House Women's Shelter where I offer my tutoring services to children in need of educational help. I am proud to call myself a leader and to have the privilege of helping those that are less fortunate.

My advice is to look for someone that genuinely has a passion for helping others and for educating in general. Someone that you trust to not leave your side when you are in a time of need.

I believe that students should evaluate their weaknesses and strengths in the area they are studying. If they have particular questions pertaining to the material, I encourage my students to write them down so they won't forget them when they meet up with me.
