Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process for working with a new student depends on the length of service requested. I usually have two different approaches.
- For a student comfortable enough with the subject who requests assistance in a specific topic or chapter in preparation for an upcoming exam, I would focus essentially on critical elements of that topic. A targeted 15-minute test will assess the student's needs to tailor an accelerated individualized learning plan to meet this precise term goal.
- While for a student who requests ongoing sessions covering a complete subject area, a more extended test on key elements covered to date, and fundamental prior knowledge. That will assess this student's learning needs to tailor the individualized learning plan to meet this long-term goal and regain self-confidence successfully.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I currently hold a Master of Science Degree in Information Technology and Telecommunications and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
