About
Hello! My name is Ashley, and I am a Florida-certified educator with over a decade of experience helping students build confidence and achieve academic success. Since beginning my teaching career in 2013, I have worked with students from Pre-K through 12th grade in a variety of educational settings, giving me a strong understanding of how foundational skills develop and support long-term learning.
While I enjoy working with learners of all ages, I have a special passion for helping students in Pre-K through 3rd grade strengthen their reading and math skills. These early years are critical for building confidence and creating a strong academic foundation, and I love helping students discover that they are capable of success.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in General Psychology with a specialization in Human Development, which has given me valuable insight into how children learn and grow. As a public school teacher, I have extensive experience supporting diverse learners, including students with IEPs and 504 plans, as well as those with ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), processing challenges, and behavioral needs. I believe that every student learns differently, and I take pride in finding approaches that help each child reach their full potential.
The most rewarding part of teaching is witnessing the moment when a concept finally clicks—the “light bulb” moment when a student begins making connections, gains confidence, and realizes they can do something that once felt difficult. Those moments inspire me every day.
My goal is to create a supportive, encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, taking risks, and growing as learners. Whether your child needs extra support, skill-building, or a confidence boost, I am committed to helping them develop the tools they need to succeed.
