Grade School Tutoring
About
Hello, my name is Jasmine, and I recently graduated from high school. I graduated ninth in my class; I was also in the IB program throughout my high school career. I recently became aware that I was awared an IB diploma. I received a high score on the Math Studies SL, so if you wanted help with this specific IB course I can help with that. I also have taken AP classes too. Being in IB, I have learned how to write analytical papers for all subject areas from history and english to math and science as well as tricks to learning new and difficult information. I also have gained a lot of reviewing techniques that I would love to share with you. :) I have tutored elementary students and my high school peers before so I am able to adapt my teaching techniques easily, but I have never tutored professionally.
I enjoy seeing students grasp the knowledge in a way that makes sense to them enabling them to partake in critical thinking, leading to the creation of the next generation of thinkers.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically start off the first session figuring out what they know using a practice test that I expect to be done before hand, and then we would go over it during the first session. After that, I tend to look into the topics the student did worse in, and start off from there. After we go over 1 topic, there is a practice quiz. After every 2-3 topics, we take a practice test to see the improvement.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been through the IB program so I know the tips and tricks to get through this program as well as ways to learn information easier.
