At Breilyn B. Tutoring, we have experience and commitment to offer our students. Whatever your English or Mathematics needs, we are here to help you. We provide opportunities for both children and adults here and want to help. If we determine at any time, we cannot offer you what your need academically, then we will do our best to either get what you need or find someone who can. We want to give reasonable prices and a variety of resources so that no matter your learning style or needs we will do our best to provide what you need. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, we always have a listening ear to new ideas.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically I will communicate with a new student before or during our first class more than teaching them from the start. This is because I would like to learn what your needs are and adapt to them. With so many resources available today I want to be sure that we give each new student what is best for their needs in the class and out of it.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a total of 4 years of experience. Two years paid, mostly in ESL teaching as well as 6 months of in-classroom experience. The other two years were unpaid as a math tutor while I was still in school to gain experience and training. I have TEFL/TESOL certification as well as 30 college hours of Early Childhood Education at Polk State College.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Typically for math or early tutoring, ages 3-12 my rates per hour will be more between $8-$10. For more advanced classes and older ages my rates per hour with be closer to $10-12.
How did you get started teaching?
I've wanted to teach since the age of 12, so speaking to my 5th grade teacher really helped get me on track for where I wanted to be as I grew up.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
1. What subject areas are you needing/wanting a teacher in? (This would be what subject (EX. English) and what area (EX. vocabulary).)
2. Do you have any weak points? (This would be things you would like to focus more time and energy on becoming better at.)
3. What resources do you have available to help you?/What resources would you like the teacher to help provide for you?
4. How much time per week would you like to learn? How much is in classes and how much outside of classes?
