What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I need to evaluate the student's current level to see the areas of strengths and weaknesses. Also, I determine what the student's goal are, and layout a plan to achieve those goals. There is no pre-test, I simply make the initial evaluation by working a few problems at the grade or course level which the student is enrolled.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taught mathematics in the public school system for over 10 years. The majority of those years I specialized in helping struggling students understand and master the content.
