My approach to helping young people learn has been molded by the many years (27+) I have worked as a highly successful Mathematics Teacher/Tutor and Educational Leader/Mentor. As my career has progressed, I have gained a vast knowledge base of all aspects of how to teach Mathematics to a wide array of learners. First, I believe that every student can learn as long as I meet the student where he/she is as a learner and use differentiated instructional methods to reach higher-level, attainable goals. Secondly, I believe in providing my students with a fun, goal-oriented, student-centered environment in which we not only celebrate success, but measurable progress as well. Lastly, I believe it is the charge of the Teacher/Tutor to motivate each student to want to be a holistic, lifelong learner who continues to seek knowledge throughout his/her chosen path. I take tremendous pride in guiding my students to succeed in all of these ways beyond all expectations.
