I am a National Board Certified Teacher with 34 years of teaching experience in the public school system educating children in the General and Special Education program PreK through 12 th grade. I am a certified Orton Gillingham Practioner and Londa Mood-Bell trained.I follow the Science of Reading, providing a structured literacy plan. I believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn to read.

I hold a Master's Degree in Reading and a Specialist Degree in Exceptional Student Education. I am certified in Reading K- 12, Elementary Education, Health, Media, ESOL, Math and ESE with the Florida Department of Education.

At Learning Horizon Academic Tutoring (LHAT) we provide an individualized, structured lesson plan for each client with weekly updates to parents, in addition to assessments every six weeks. We also monitor grades, and academic outcomes for each client, which drives deep content planning closing achievement gaps.

Clients are always engaged, no packets, or computers while in session.
