Ready To Learn

Greetings to everybody! I hope everything is good with you. I am Claudia Ramirez, a junior at Florida International University majoring in biochemistry. In the America Reads program, I also serve as a tutor at Dr. Carlos J. Finlay Elementary. Working with children and witnessing their growth when given the right support are two things I really value. My work places a strong emphasis on helping children improve their listening, reading, and writing skills. Being bilingual, I also work with children who are ESL students. As I indicated before, I am actually pursuing a STEM major, so during my three years of university I have taken a lot of courses that have enhanced and expanded my understanding of not only English but also math and sciences. Due to my good knowledge and enthusiasm of passing it on to young people, I really enjoy explaining math and science.

In addition, I consider myself to be a very organized and responsible individual. I want to work in pediatrics in the future. I enjoy tutoring while I pursue my studies to become a pediatrician because I enjoy both teaching and working with children. I also enjoy medicine and children.
