I earned a Bachelor degree in Math at the University of Havana and a PhD in Math at the Humboldt University of Berlin in Germany. I taught at the University of Havana for 38 years. I came three years ago. Currently, I am adjunct professor at MDC, FIU and Broward College.
I have great experience teaching and my students always feel satisfied with my courses.
I enjoy showing my students that they can understand math and helping them to improve their academic results.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First of all I try to know the real knowledge my students have identifying their strengths and weaknesses. Then I prioritize the contents the students are learning in their class, so that they can achieve good results. if possible I try to develop additional skills of my students that give them greater confidence in themselves.

The first class is free. The normal price of my lessons is 30/hour.

I started teaching at the University of Havana.

I have worked whit all types of students. I have worked with students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Havana, but also with students of other careers. Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A recent event that I Enjoyed a lot was the farewell my students did in Cuba before travelling to the United States.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
First of all, the student must check if the tutor possesses the necessary knowledge and is able to explain in an accessible way the contents that are dificult for him or her.
It is very important that the students feel free to ask and had good relations with the tutor.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
First of all, students should find out the causes of their difficulties in the subject. In many cases the difficulties may be due to lack of study and can be solved by themselves with a greater dedication to study.
