I enjoy seeing the progress in the social/emotional side of the child as well as the academic growth through administering evidence-based interventions to my students. The progress the students make to grade level and beyond is an amazing experience for both the student and the tutor. Achieving literacy proficiency and comprehension is our goal. Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We assess the students if there is not any private Neuro-psychology or school psychologist report. Unfortunately, most likely the reason your child is struggling is because most elementary school teachers have not received the necessary training to teach students to Read (NCTQ 2019 report, Louisa Moats). Our specialists have extensive additional certifications in specific reading methodologies in the National Reading Panels report to Congress. These methods are the ones that will teach your child to read.
After we discover what areas are impeding the learning we address and target those deficits with proven evidence based interventions that will show an avg. of 24 Standard Score report increases. These interventions bring your child to grade level and beyond.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
