Make the math relatable and relevant. Talk to the students in such a way that builds the love of learning by being successful where they previously struggled and became frustrated. I get excited when the student has there "ah hah" moment and they realize that it is easier than they thought. Their confidence grows and then their courage to venture where they previously ran from the unknown.

Hi I am a highschool student I am currently a senior I really love helping people meet there goals in what they want to achieve in school I will be able to help you understand topics better!!! I love math and helping students. I am a retired math professor and I just moved to Florida. I started tutoring shortly after I retired 4 years ago. I've taught high school math for 20+ years, covering algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus & some statistics. I like to make students comfortable so they can ask the questions they may not ask in class. Together we work on filling in missing bits of information so they become competent in matematics. I spend time getting to know my students and making the tutoring process fun....

I am a certified Firefighter/Paramedic for 8 years. Home schooling my three boys ages 9, 7 and 4 has been an extremely rewarding experience and I would like to take what I have learned to try and help others who may be struggling in some areas of learning.
