STEM Tutoring
About
Hi, I am a recent Chemical Engineering graduate new to Delaware. I work at P&G and have a passion for engineering. I would love to help students in the area with math/science. Since highschool, I have been a nanny and tutor and enjoy being able to cultivate a love for education and particularly STEM. I was taught during the pandemic and am able to use the skills I learned to help students learn during these unprecedented times. If you need a few hours a week of help in math or science, please message me!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My approach is to understand what level they are currently at and what kind of learning works best for them. In my experience, practice makes perfect. So I usually engage my students in lots of practice problems and will change a problem slightly to make sure they understand each concept. It is important to establish a good relationship with a new student and make sure to be patient and understanding.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in chemical engineering and work as an engineer so math and science are used every day.
How did you get started teaching?
I started in high school being a peer tutor and eventually tutored my sister when she began doing classes that I had previously done. I enjoy being able to help people and understand how people learn the best. It is much easier to be taught 1 on 1 which only ever happens with a tutor.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with every kind of student, so I am able to handle every situation.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was really happy to help my sister study, and it was very rewarding how well she responded to being taught by her sibling. It taught me how patient and understanding I am.
