About
Hi! My name is Mina and I am currently a freshman at the University of Maryland, College Park. All throughout high school I excelled in both mathematics and English, thus allowing me to teach a broad range of subjects from Algebra 1 to essay editing. I also scored a 1550 on the SAT and would be able to assist any student in learning the skills it would take to perform well on standardized tests. As a college student, my closeness in age lets me connect with students, fostering a comfortable learning environment that can best suit their needs.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with any new student, it's important that I know their goals and what they want to accomplish through tutoring. Whether its scoring a better grade on their next exam or gaining a deeper understanding of the concepts they're learning, I want to make sure I am doing everything in my power to provide them what they need to surpass their limits.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been tutoring both middle school and high school aged students for the past two years, so I am very comfortable with the material that most students cover in their classes, from AP Calculus AB to AP Language and Composition. As a recent high school graduate myself, I am familiar with what is expected of a student's work and can help improve a student's performance to exceed expectations.
