As a rising senior Biomedical Engineering student at an honors technical university, Dan Rogers has extensive practical and theoretical skills in all levels of the STEM curricula. Since high school, he has volunteered time to simplify the complexities of math and writing to students from all backgrounds. Dan currently holds a 3.5 GPA, has numerous honors and faculty scholarships, has over 75 hours of volunteering experience, and is the editor-in-chief to his college's STEM magazine.
Aside from knowing a lot about math, Dan takes pride in the success of his students. As someone who has employed tutoring services, both online and in person, he knows how to make the most of both platforms.
I take pride in simplifying math so that students have the confidence to enjoy problem solving and ask questions. For each math lesson, everyone has their own pace of absorbing the material. I make sure my students understand the concepts necessary to approach a variety of different kinds of problems.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
As an engineering student, my process is simple: evaluate the given information (practice problems and other study materials), simplify it into manageable pieces (diagrams, equations, or concepts), and draft a solution (showing all work along the way). Prior to meeting, I like to familiarize myself with the student's study materials (via pictures/copies). I then like to understand the student's comprehension by watching them work through the problem and reviewing their process. Lastly, I will evaluate which concepts they are struggling with, help them understand the proper technique, and work through several problems with them to ensure the material is engrained.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Biomedical engineering student with over 10 years of Math and English training. Honors student at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Pre-algebra, Algebra 1&2, Pre Calculus, Calculus 1 2 &3, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, and Statistics.
