About
I cater to the needs of every student that I tutor. Not every student learns the same, so every tutoring session is individualized. I focus on having the student learn and understand the content rather than having them just memorize information to reproduce it.
I am also a certified math teacher for grades 7 - 12. I have been teaching in public school for four years. I was nomiated for Teacher of the Year this past school year by my coworkers. I have taught Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and PreCalculus. I also have experience with tutoring SAT math.
I was a math tutor while I was completing my undergraduate degree at the University of Delaware. I tutored in the math learning center as well as student athletes.
I am currently working towards a Masters in Education for Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Technology Leadership.
What I truly enjoy about tutoring math is seeing the “light bulb” go off for a student or when a student has an “aha” moment. When a student finally has a breakthrough with a topic that has been causing them trouble, it is the best feeling as a teacher.
