I'm actually going to purchase more hours this week and then schedule with you. I have two big assignments coming up in the next week one with 15 questions and one with 30. I'm going to purchase hours as soon as I cant to get back to you. You are just the most helpful tutor so I would want to schedule with you. But thank you for responding so fast.

Extremely helpful in getting a handle on what I am dealing with and the challenges I have, and dove straight into my issues and preparing me with both fundamentals and what I need to succeed for a test Wed. Followed up with another appointment time for Tuesday so I can be ready as possible for the test. Stayed late to explain some harder questions and understands this is a very important time for me. Thank you. 100 out of 100.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I like to talk to the student about their class but also about them, get a feel for the things they enjoy to help them feel more relaxed.  Then I try to figure out how they think because people learndifferently.  I always go into a lesson with multiple ways to teach the same topic to try and help my student understand what it is they are trying to do

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been tutoring for 4 years now, 2 at college, then another 2 for various tutoring companies such as Carnegie Prep and Varsity Tutors.  Now I want to take my skills straight to the people so that don't have to go through a company.  They are dealing with a friendly knowledgeable face

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

My rates start between $60-$100 depending on online vs in-person and topics we are covering.  SAT and ACTs are $125-$150

How did you get started teaching?

I started my junior year at UConn officially but I have been tutoring through my academic career, I loved helping my friends and classmates and now I want to use my knowledge to help others as well

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with college students primarily, however I have been working with a lot more high school and middle school students recently.  Stardardized tests and AP classes as well

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Don't feel intimidated to reach out to the tutor/ teacher and discuss whats been giving you problems.  We are here to help you and we want you to feel comfortable talking about things that are not coming natural to you.  So be willing to talk about what you are struggling in and be open to improvement; we are going to put our all into you and if you do the same you'll be very impressed by the results
