Tutoring For Elementary School Students

I am an elementary school teacher with 5 years of experience teaching in a variety of settings, including special education settings. I have primarily taught grades 2-4 and tutored students from kindergarten to 8th grade. My tutoring experience includes:

- Literacy intervention (including phonemic awareness, phonics, comprehension, and fluency work)

- Math intervention (building number sense skills such as counting, comparing, subitizing, and reasoning about numbers)

- Enrichment and extension work for students looking for a challenge!

I take a systematic and structured approach to instruction to ensure that student learning builds from one lesson to another. I also work with students and families to tailor instruction to their individual needs. I have experience working with students with a variety of learning needs, including those with learning disabilities, ADHD, and autism.
