Individualized Elementary Tutoring
About
I consider myself a highly motivated, creative and enthusiastic teacher. I enjoy implementing hands-on, engaging lessons which foster a love for learning. I believe each and every child has the potential to learn new and challenging information.
I am a NYS certified Childhood and Special Education in the inclusive setting for grades 1-6. I have experience working with students in self-contained and inclusion instruction models with students in PreK-5th grade.
I would like the opportunity to speak with parents to further discuss their child's learning and how I can contribute to your child's academic growth and success.

How did you get started teaching?
I have had a love for learning since I was an elementary student myself. I knew at a young age that I had a drive for working with children and helping them to reach their goals. I first began coaching a youth cheerleading program when I was 13. My college coursework and student teachig helped to validate that teaching was the career I was meant to pursue. I have been enjoying each and every moment since I began my career 7 years ago.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students from Pre-K - 5th grade in all curriculum areas.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently had the pleasure of working with a student who was demonstrating difficulty in math. With the use of hands on strategies, manipulatives and instructional games, the student was able to gain confidence in an area he had once struggled in.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would advise the student to find a tutor who will make learning fun and engaging.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I believe students should think about the best way they learn new information. Once a teacher is able to determine the most effective method of instruction for your child, your child will be more engaged in their learning.
