I am a certified ELA teacher for grades 7-12. I have two and a half years teaching experience under my belt. I am passionate about making English fun and effortless for all my students. I will help any student feel more confient in their ELA capablilties while helping them foster a love for ELA.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My work process with a new student is first get to know them as a learner. I have them complete a little survery about their likes and dislikes in and out of school. We then will discuss their previous school year and where they struggled. I will ask them to look at past work with me so we can see where the struggle occured together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in English literature as well as Secondary Education from Stonehill College. I have my MA DESE license to teach grades 7-12. I have been teaching 9-10 grade for the past two and a half years and 12th grade for .5 years.

How did you get started teaching?
I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in 9th grade. I continued to grow in love with the subject and work every day to make myself a better teacher.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students with: ADHD, ADD, Dyslexia, Anxiety regarding school work
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
1. Am I willing to commit time in order to show progress? 2. Is my mindset already negative (I'm just dumb I don't get it)? If so, how can we work past that? 3. Do you want to have fun while learning or have it more traditional?
