Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
It's very important that we get to know out students and really understand what they need so we can tailor our sessions to suit their needs.
We want to know if they need homework help or if we should prepare material and questions for the class.
For test prep we want to know what the student has done so far, where they are and what their goals are so that we can make the most of our time together.

How did you get started teaching?
I got started peer tutoring in high school and my love for teaching just grew from there.
What types of students have you worked with?
The majority of students I've worked with are high school students that are either prepping for the NYS regents exams or the SAT college admissions exam.
All of the students I've had the pleasure of working with have set realistic goals that they have met through patience and hardwork.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Students need to make sure that their tutor is the right tutor for them, it's important that students are open and talk to their tutor when something isn't working for them.
