My name is Marissa. I am 23 years old and I am a prek- teacher and music teacher at a catholic school. I went to Central Connecticut State University for English Elementary Education. I not only excel in English, but I excel in math and Music as well. I am very creative and fun to work with. I am fresh out of College, so I have many fun new innovative ways to learn.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in English Elementary Education. I've also studied music. I sang in an A Cappella group for 4 years in college and am currently in an a cappella group
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching religious education when I was in high school and that is when I decided I wanted to become a teacher! I love working with kids. I've worked with pre-k though 8th graders.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with pre-k through 8th graders. I've worked in many inner city schools.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I put on a Christmas Concert at the school I work at first prek-8th grade. This is my first year teaching and it was a huge accomplishment.
