About
Dear Parents and Students,
I’d love to mentor you or your child! With over 6 years experience tutoring math and science subjects for all grade levels, I am one of the highest rated STEM tutors in this region. I am currently taking a gap year before enrolling at Columbia University in the City of New York for my undergraduate studies in engineering and finance. I graduated high school at the top of my class with the toughest course load in my school’s history, including every single Advanced Placement math and science course offered.
As a tutor, I believe in the importance of instilling discipline and rigid problem-solving methodologies empowering students to become confident and independent. I am available weekdays and weekends for either in person or online services. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have and look forward to consulting with you and your child!
Thank you,
Mohith Mothukuri

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Since I work with a range of age groups and skill levels, each new student has a unique onboarding experience. I like to first take a look through all of the students' course materials including the syllabus, notes, classwork, homework, and most importantly, examinations. With a sense of the student's current challenges, I custom tailor the course of our session to build not only pertinent skills, but confidence.
How did you get started teaching?
I formally began tutoring at the age of 14 both as a private tutor and as a specialized advanced math instructor at KUMON. Since then, I've completed all of the toughest math and science courses offered in my school system and have mentored over one hundred students with unique needs.
My clients keep coming back because I not only prepare them for the next exam, but instill the right minset and values to make a successful student in any educational setting.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students:
as young as five years old in pre-school
elementary school
junior high and high school
community college and vocational students
undergraduate students
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I advise students to take a look at a tutor’s past experiences and student testimonials as these will best indicate the quality you can expect and how you might be able to grow under their mentorship.
