Math Tutoring From A Student Architect
About
I do not just Teach the student, I get to know them, search for different stategies, do research on topics so that I can have different ways to teach them. I personally think that tutoring isn't just teaching, it's about guiding the student towards his/her goal. It is so much more than just teaching, It can be being playful so that they can learn, finding new and different ways to teach is part of it. I stand out because I know what it is to be a student struggling and how helpful it can be to learn from someone that will teach every step of the way.
The Subject! I'm a huge math nerd, and besides that, I LOVE PEOPLE. It is incredibly satisfying to teach a subject I enjoy so much, and besides, the stuggle is real, and I enjoy the feeling of helping people out of that struggle. I understand the pressure or anxiety of a deadline, I do my best to work within the deadline, and still get results.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first have a class, completely free, where we can identify together the thought process and difficulties of the student. Then we learn together what is it that he knows, needs to learn as well as the end goal. We can then determine a 1-5 class per week program which can help the student as best as possible.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been working with students for the past two summers defining and redifining the thought process in which a student can learn at the fullest potential.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
The standard pricing is
$25/hr for Elementry School
$30/hr for Middle School
$35/hr for High School
How did you get started teaching?
I used to teach at my local church for teenagers, then passed on to mathematics during summers for my college materials.
What types of students have you worked with?
Anywhere between 4th and 10th graders.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The quarantine instead of making me desperate, has made me into a more creative person. Specially in the ways I have learned to do my online classes.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Search for a person you can trust, and feel reassured that you can go through a journey of learning together. Don't look for a strict robot, search for someone who is flexible and can mold into the best learning experience for you.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What do you know? What do you wish to learn? How much time do we have to learn the materials that you wish to learn?
