Your goals and particular learning style are important to me! Starting with a new student, I enjoy discussing what prior experience you have in the target language as well as what your objectives are further down the line. After getting to know what interests my students the most, we can come up with lesson plans that are more appropriate to them. 

I have certification teaching ESL/EFL through the online ITTT (International TEFL & TESOL Training) program. I had also volunteered my tutoring services for a while in Brazil before starting on the Cambly online platform for tutoring in English. I have previously worked at a recreation center taking care of and tutoring young children and toddlers on various subjects, and I am currently fluent in Portuguese and learning Spanish.

I don't have a standardized pricing system, however, I usually tutor for about $6 for half-hour lessons and $11 for 1-hour lessons. For greater lengths of lesson time, a price can be discussed. I can provide lessons between 1-5 times per week and payments can be made on a weekly or monthly basis, whichever works best for you!

I started tutoring when I began to travel to Brazil about 3 years ago as a volunteer. During that time I received certification in TEFL and TESOL teaching and since then have started tutoring online.

I have worked with a wide variety of students, though in person I have mostly tutored kids. In my online experience, I have been able to tutor many students from all around the world, including the U.S. Most of my international students come from Brazil, Saudi Arabia, or Turkey, though I have met with students from throughout Europe, Asia, and Africa as well. 

Since I am in Brazil now (mid-January) I would say that Carnival is a coming event that I am looking forward to because the music and atmosphere are always sensational and I like to get out and be around people every now and then! Also, the Grammys and different movie awards are coming up and I am super excited since the arts, especially music and film, are very important to me.

I would tell you to find a tutor and program that fit your style and needs. Some students only need to brush up on their skills, while other students are starting from zero! So, it's important to find a program and a style that mixes well with your objectives and your wallet. Also, make sure to test the tutor out, because you can always find someone that fits you. 

I would recommend doing some background research online and in regular Q&A platforms like Quora.com, for example, or simply asking someone you think may know the answer. If it's a more personal question that doesn't have a yes or no answer, consider what you want to get out of the class and if you are in a place to really take the time to study.
