I enjoyed having a structured, comfortable essay writing process. The atmosphere and flow allowed me to reach my creative potential. I learned how to relate my life experiences to characteristics that I’ve developed. I was able to understand how my life events have shaped who I am.

Michaela was supportive, kind, and helpful during my college application process. She worked with me to develop my own ideas, providing specific guidance with editing my writing, and more broad assistance with structuring and developing my thoughts. She helped me strengthen my own writing while ensuring that my voice remained at the forefront. She cares deeply about her students and is incredibly knowledgeable about the college application and essay writing process. I would definitely recommend her and her services!

Michaela is one of the most dedicated, hardworking, and passionate individuals I have met. The process she used to help me with my personal statements was tailor-made for my needs and interests. She invests a lot of energy and time into each student that she helps, which was definitely apparent in the time I spent with her. I’m very much thankful for all the guidance she had given during my college application journey, which played an integral part in getting me on the exciting academic path I am on today

Michaela provided a safe and supportive environment to help our son navigate the sometimes overwhelming journey from high school to college. Her ability to connect with these kids at an age where they are less inclined to talk with their teachers and parents allowed them to ask all the questions on their minds about their college applications. Helping them with their college essay writing was a huge plus. I'm sure that without Michaela's help, they would not have been as successful as they have been in the next chapter of their lives. Thanks Michaela!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I always start with a trial and consultation (60 minutes free of charge), to explore a service of interest and talk with families about everything from academic progress and needs to social and emotional development. I look at IEP's and educational testing as needed and give a recommendation on continued work together. I take into account each family's logistical needs related to travel, academic resources, structure and communication and tailor my work to meet their needs.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a BA and MA in education, a current teaching license in CO in elementary education and a K-12 license as a linguistically and culturally diverse bilingual education specialist. I have undergone special education and bilingual education trainings in and out of the public school environment. I am also trained in common core standards K-12.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

I have packages tailored to K-8, Grades 9-11 and High School Seniors that focus on fostering students' passions and rigorous college-readiness skill development. I also work with families hourly and search for tutoring/college counseling scholarships for families that make up a $75,000 with one defendant and at their manager thousand dollars for 2 or more dependents.
