About
I believe in the right envirnoment and with enough time everyone can learn. As an educator, it is my responsiblity to create the right environment and maintain a comfortable pace for my students.
Learning is a beautiful gift and should be enjoyed. My goal is to share all the struggles and joys of learning math with my students, so they feel the sense of accomplishment at the end of each session.
I love learning with my students. I love watching the wheels turn and click for people. It is so fun to help guide students to their own successes.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
During the beginning of the session, I like for the student to set the pace and show me where they are. I need to see where you are to see where we can go together. Once I know where a student is at I will give as much guidance and support as needed. Allowing students to be independent as much as possible during a session is the goal!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BAS in Secondary Education and Mathematics. Originally I used my degree to teach high school math for 5 years. For two summers, I taught an ASVAB Math crash course for a local Community College. I have also worked privately and commercially as a tutor with experience tutoring a variety of content areas. I have experience with all learning levels including IEPs and gifted students.
I am currently working on starting my own Online Tutoring Company.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My online sessions are typically $50 per session. For standardized test prep, I have sessions available online for $60 per session.
How did you get started teaching?
I have always loved teaching. It is my true passion in life to help people discover their potential and actualize it.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students. From middle school to adult learners. I have the most experience with high schoolers, but am comfortable with all ages.
I have worked with all learning capabilities. I have co-taught in inclusion settings for public high schools. I have tutored very specifc IEP needs. I have challeneged Honors level students and worked closely with students identified as gifted.
Every person is different and I am here to meet you where you are at!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
When looking for a tutor experience is very important, but personality should also be valued. Make sure you enjoy your tutor and your tutor's style. You should be comfortable asking as many questions as needed to get to the root of the problem during a session and be able to see the answer clearly.
