I've taught/tutored middle school, high school, and community college math for many years and really love it when students say "I never understood math before but now I get it!"
I have a B.S. in Business Administration and a J.D. from the University of Denver College of Law.
I enjoy giving students of any age and any level the confidence to be successful.
Heather is a great teacher that can simplify complex math problems into simple steps. Heather provides purposeful repetition with step by step support to build the confidence of her students. I highly recommend Heather for any student who wants to improve their ability to quickly improve their understanding of complex math problems.
Heather is an amazing tutor who goes far beyond to insure students learn and are successful. She has been helping me build my mathematical foundation for several years. Heather has a unique way of explaining tough concepts that make them stick. Lastly, heather will give you the motivation to move forward and show you, with some hard work math is your friend!! Without her I would not be an aerospace engineer currently!! I started in math 060 and now have completed classes like, college algebra, trig., calc 1-3, differential equations, electromagnetic fields and will graduate with a BS Electrical Enginering Technology Power and Controls in 15 weeks!! You can do it if you believe in yourself and work hard. Thanks Heather!!
Heather is an excellent math professor. She is extremely patient, knowledgeable and took the time to get to know me and how I learn. She was there for me whenever I needed her always going above and beyond to do what she could to help me succeed. She not only taught me material in the classroom, but then as a tutor helping me study for college math exams that I was nervous about. I highly recommend Heather as a tutor for any age group from adolescence to college level mathematics.
Typically, the student tells me what he/she needs to be more successful in their class: sometimes their confidence is low, they have test anxiety, or they just don't understand the material. We then brainstorm solutions and start working!
I've taught/tutored middle school, high school, and community college math from the basics through Algebra 2.
