What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The sessions are one hour. Any areas of academic concern are discussed. We review grades, upcoming exams, and portal assignments. Any missing assignments or exams are prioritized first. All subjects are welcome for 9th-12th grade students. College and testing students work on specific courses, content, or state exams.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a dual masters degree. I'm a PhD candidate. I have been tutoring professionally for 13 years. I worked for a professional tutoring lab before growing my business. *New clients recieve a special 📚! A FREE session is included when a session package is purchased. I offer discount packages to assist with weekly support. My rates are competitive. I allow students to determine their frequency. I suggest 1 session per week. Sessions are one hour of concentrated work. Study rooms are reserved and white boards are provided. Session schedules are offered weekly. Weekday evenings and weekend hours are offered.
How did you get started teaching?
I was a tutor on campus while I completed my undergrad degree. I truly enjoyed helping people. Ten years later I am a professional tutor. I am using my advanced degrees and experience to help high school and college students succeed. I completed a college professorship. I went through a state background check. I also got certified in CPR and attended numerous educational, business and science seminars.
What types of students have you worked with?
High school, college, and adult learners. I support middle school students working on higher level material. I support traditional, AP, IB, Honors, IEP, ILP learners. All courses are welcome. I work with testing students. I tutor the: Accuplacer, ASVAB, Fire Fighters exam, GMAT, GED, TEAS, ACT, SAT, Praxis (all grade levels), Electricians Journey exam. I specialize in mathematics, science, history, English, and business content.

Be patient with the content, take direction, and enjoy your time together.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about how you best learn and where your strengths are. Communicate what your learning style is, and ask questions on the content. Active learning is the most successful learning!
