Professional Math, Physics, Chemistry Tutoring
About
Hi there, I am a professional academic tutor providing high quality tutoring in math (all levels, prealgebra through college and beyond), physics (all levels), chemistry 1 & 2, and biology 1.
I have been teaching full time for over a decade and tutoring in these subjects for 7 years now. I have ample experience teaching all subjects I teach as well as being a teacher's assistant for multiple math and science classes in the college level.
I have a Master's Degree in Applied Physics and was a National Merit Scholarship semifinalist countywide. Teaching is what I do, and I'd love to help you master the material you're working on!
I work with students in many ways, including preparing classwork (quizzes, tests, homework, missed class lectures, etc.), as well as independent study scenarios (teaching full classes, preparing practice material, etc.). Whatever your academic goals in math and science, I can help you substantially.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I assess the student's individual needs (since I work with people on anything from studying for classes or tests, to learning material in classes they aren't in, to teaching those learning for their own interests!) and develop a schedule and plan from there. I meet as often as the student needs. I don't require weekly time slots but allow them if desired or preferred. I'm very flexible with scheduling and work with meeting the student's individual goals!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master's degree in Applied Physics and have around 1500 hours of tutoring experience! I have also taught entire math classes before and also teach chemistry 1 and 2 often. I'm an excellent choice for you to learn physics, math and chemistry!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My rate is flat and doesn't change or require an initial consultation like many services out there.
How did you get started teaching?
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students in many different situations! From those needing to study for tests, quizzes, homework assignments, entrance exams or independent study, to those wanting to catch up from missed lectures or needing thorough explanations on topics they're not understanding. I can do it all!

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a teacher with a ton of experience teaching people, so they understand how the student learns and the best way to find the things the student needs to understand the material. Also find a teacher that works with the material often. Most of the time, I already know what students will get caught up on and plan my teaching accordingly!
