I love giving students the individual assistance they need to master their course work and achieve academic results! I specialize in language arts, Spanish, and general math. I can help take the confusion away and make the understanding blossom! I graduated from Colorado College with a Language Arts major and Spanish minor. I lived in Mexico and attended the Universidad de Guanajuato, and have taught Spanish at all levels, from elementary conversation through high school. I have a master's degree in Communication and have taught writing and grammar at all levels.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I can quickly assess where students need to focus to gain good habits, skills, and concept mastery. I will provide explanations, modeling of expected outcomes, and practice material so that material becomes easy for students to successfully complete on their own in class.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a professionally licensed teacher with a master's degree from University of Connecticut and advanced training in Montessori philosophy in Colorado. I am highly qualified by the state of Colorado to teach k-12 Spanish, k-12 language arts, elementary education in all subjects. I am working on fulfilling an additional credential in Literacy Specialization and English Language Learners.

I started teaching when I was a graduate student at the University of Connecticut.
