About
I have always been in Honors English classes. I have two younger siblings that I tutored throughout school. One of my siblings has Dyslexia and ADHD which is a challenge we have overcome when it comes to his school work. I am also currently proofreading and teaching a comic author who is translating her work from German to English and have been doing this for a few months. I really love being able to help and teach others about subjects in which I am knowlegable. Not only will I proofread or correct your work, but I will explain the rule you may be stuck on so you learn for the future.
I love teaching a student a particular rule that they are struggling with and seeing the same rule come up again later on but this time followed correctly. It makes me so proud of them!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to ask them questions about what they're currently working on and what they are hung up on. Until I get a grasp on what the student knows, doesn't know, or simply keeps forgetting, I will explain every detail I am pointing out thoroughly and in multiple ways.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Honors English Credits
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$15.00 per hour
How did you get started teaching?
I've always enjoyed helping others out where I can. I started with a German comic author who is translating her works to English because I loved her story so much and wanted to help her feel less insecure about her English.
What types of students have you worked with?
Middle school, foreign, and adults
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I spent New Year's Day by myself driving around town, admiring the beautiful architecture, and listening to a book. It was a great day of self love and reflection.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be honest with what you need help with and let your tutors know if you don't understand their explanation so they can tell you another way.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Do you need help with a paper, a class, or just English in general? Are you prepared to be creative?
