About
I love teaching, and I love seeing students progress in confidence and understanding.
I was homeschooled all throughout elementary, middle school, and high school and through that experience learned a lot about how to teach myself and approach problems in multiple ways until I could figure it out! I believe these two skills I learned are valuable to pass down to students I meet with!
I really love school and also love people! I enjoy getting to know my students and spending time with them weekly!
I really enjoy walking through problems with students who are eager to learn. My ultimate goal is that they understand their work more, and I love reaching that goal! I love encouraging them to use the tools and skills they already have to grow and stretch themselves!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically like to work through material the student has for their current classes, to make sure that the content we cover is relevant to their curriculum. If necessary I love supplementing with Kahn academy or other various resources for additional practice!
When I first start meeting with the student, I love to talk with the parents and get in touch with the teacher to get a really great understanding of where the student is at: what their strengths are, what their weaknesses are, and how I can help them the most!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a senior at the University of Colorado studying Business with an emphasis in Accounting! I love math, have always been the strongest in math subjects, and scored a 35 on the ACT in math. I am currently a TA for a business statistics class at CU, and my business degree has specifically enhanced my knowledge of statistics and math in excel.
In the areas of english, literature and writing, I was taught classically and at Colorado University. I loved my communications classes, love reading, and enjoy writing!

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently got engaged and am thrilled to be getting married in August! I'm marrying my best friend, and we love cooking together, playing board games with our families and completing DIY projects together!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a tutor who loves not only the subject or area of school you're looking for help in, but a tutor you love spending time with! You'll spend a lot of time together and it's important to feel like you can ask for help when you don't understand!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are the concepts that come most naturally to you? Which do you struggle with the most? Do you like learning visually, audibly, or by doing it yourself?
