RLM Math Tutoring

I got my Bachelor's from the University of Denver, double majoring in Math and Theatre. I graduated Summa Cum Laude as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Throughout college I assisted my friends and classmates and found that I really enjoyed helping others understand the material we were learning. Since then, I have worked with kids ranging from elementary school through high school, as well as young adults well into college. While helping students understand the more technical aspects of math, I love to bring in what I have learned through my experiences in theatre. This means getting to know each student individually, what they are passionate and excited about, and use that human element to make the process of learning math smoother and more enjoyable for them. I get to know what helps ideas click for different students and accommodate my style to support that. I believe we all have gifts to bring and I strive to encourage a student's natural talents. A style I incorporate is breaking down complex concepts into manageable pieces to where the students feels very confident in each aspect, which then translates to easy comprehension when things get more complicated.
