Quin Kepler
About
Hello! My name is Quin Kepler and I am currently pursuing a bachelors degree in astrophysics at the University of Arizona. I have been tutoring in math for about 3 years and I find that it's an incredible way for me to keep learning as well. I do very well in almost any type of math (sadly, not statistics), physics, english analysis classes, french, and many other courses! I have also been able to help some people with organizational skills and planning. Please reach out to me if you need any academic help at all!
Thank you,
Quin Kepler
I love helping people understand things that I once struggled with too. There are a lot of mental blocks that come with learning, and for different people, it can be different subjects, but I am prepared to help any student feel more confident in a range of academic courses. I enjoy helping others feel excited to learn new things instead of feeling frustrated.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to have them attempt the problem and then show them all of the parts that they do know and they have down perfectly. Then, I work with them to find a way to understand the piece they're missing until they can do the problems all on their own. I work to instill confidence in kids who think they are just "bad at math"; I try to make it understandable and fun and break down the difficulties that come with real understanding and learning.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a current undergraduate student at the University of Arizona pursuing a degree in astrophysics and minors in math, french, and photography. In the beginning of my life, I hated math and it made me frustrated even to cry, but when I got into high school, I had an incredible professor and absolutely fell in love with all math and physics and challenging logistical hobbies. I have tutored for several individuals now, in the range of middle school through college, and I've had very positive results with every one of them.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I typically charge $30 per hour, but with a free first session and I'm flexible on pricing as I know this is a time where we all need help.
How did you get started teaching?
I started tutoring because in high school I found that one of my best studying strategies was to learn the material and then re-explain or re-teach it to a friend, which helped me conceptualize everything much better. Eventually, my friends got tired of me teaching them things they had already learned, and so I started seeking out opportunities to tutor people.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked personally with students in Math (calculus) and French, from ages 8 through 20. I am also open to physics, english analysis, chemistry, and astronomy tutoring. Let me know if you're wondering about a course I might be able to help out with.
