About
I am an energetic 27-year-old with bachelor's and master's degrees in mechanical engineering. I'm very skilled academically, but also know how to keep things light and fun! I have 5+ years of tutoring, teaching, and coaching experience. Specifically I have 2 years of calculus tutoring experience up to and including multi-variable calculus, 3 years of experience tutoring college engineering and physics topics including physics 1 (energy methods, kinematics, etc...), physics 2 (electricity and magnetism), and statics and dynamics. If you're looking for tutoring in a higher level engineering course please reach out! If it's a class i'm confident in i'd be happy to work with you.
As a tutor I really enjoy going beyond the basics with homework help etc. I enjoy finding ways to make the material accessible for my students & finding ways to help them remember and connect with it, so it isn't just memorization, but it's true understading. Understanding in the way that makes the most sense to them.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Whenever a new student is working with us, we will either review the request and jump right into assisting the student, OR we will set up a short 15 minute get to know + question and answer session with that new student to be sure the fit is right. It's all about helping be sure you get the help YOU really need!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our primary tutor Aaron, holds both bachelor's and master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering, has tutored online for the past year, and has over 4 years of total tutoring experience. Aaron has worked as a professional tutor for 4 years and during his bachelor's program worked as an engineering college teacher and tutor, both teaching and serving as a tutor for math, physics, and engineering college level courses.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is simple, $30 per hour for high school level work and $35 per hour for college level work.
How did you get started teaching?
Our primary tutor Aaron began tutoring and teaching as an undergraduate in his engineering program. He began by volunteer tutoring for calculus as a freshman, then was quickly hired by the engineering department to tutor and teach physics and engineering courses. Finally Aaron was also hired by the university athletic department to tutor college athletes in their STEM related coursework. Post graduation Aaron took his teaching and tutoring skills online.
What types of students have you worked with?
Our primary tutor Aaron has tutored primarily high school and college aged students.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently Aaron hiked to the top of his favortie ski resort in colorado!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would encourage that student not just to look at credentials, there are many people in the world with PhD's, but that DOES NOT mean they know how to teach and explain concepts in a mannor which is easy for all to understand. Meet your tutor first and be sure you feel as though you will be able to have a good working relationship with them.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Before seeking help, students should consider what their goals are for seeking help. Do they have a test they are really focused on? Do they need help reinforcing the basics? It's really important the student try and help the tutor understand their needs.
