I've been a public school teacher for over 15 years and have taught everything from the 4th grade through High School. The subjects I am proficient at include basic math to higher level algebra. I hold a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential in CA.
I love it when my students get that "aha" moment and the concept just suddenly clicks. The feeling of satisfaction for both of us is very rewarding.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Meet with them initially to determine the need and then I will formulate a lesson plan based upon the specific need that will best direct the guidance offered. This way both the student and teacher will know the goals desired and also know what is expected.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters Degree in Education, hold a Multiple Dubjects teaching credential in Califirnia; I've been a classroom teacher since 2003, and have also provided tutoring both formally and informally for 20 years.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What do I need to accomplish by tutoring and what is the timeline I have available to accomplish these objectives.
