About

How does my service stand out?:

Well! This is a simple question! My tutoring services & skills stand out in a couple of huge ways that, by experience, I have found to make a significant impact on the result of my students!

The first most important practice that I've implemented is gaining an in-depth understanding of each student and their individual needs. Students are not the same and should not be put into cookie cutters! To remedy this, I use a tutoring regimen curriculum that I developed that takes into account the student's grades, goals, individual issues, personal needs, and a stress-free learning schedule. It's important to understand the emotional and motivational background to assure that after the planned tutoring assistance is over, the student is able to succeed on their own in the future.

Second, I believe in an "All A's" initiative, that essentially means the end result/goal of the tutoring is to reach mastery in the student's course work. This goes along with the first passage above!

And last but not least, I would like to mention my dedication and passion for my students! I pride myself on community service, as I believe it's the key to our world and life its-self! I love seeing improvement and pushing my students to go above and beyond. The moral of the story is that I will work HARD for your student.

Frequently asked questions

First off, when I take on a new student I'll be working with, as I mentioned before, I construct a tutoring plan/regimen. This consists of me just having a general meeting or conversation with the parent and student, I collect information like grades, students' goals, and anything they think I should know that regards their academics and emotions to optimize the duration of the program. I use a tutoring regimen curriculum that I developed that takes into account the student's grades, goals, individual issues, personal needs, and a stress-free learning schedule. It's important to understand the emotional and motivational background to assure that after the planned tutoring assistance is over, the student is able to succeed on their own in the future. Along with that, I provide the student with my personal phone number to allow them to contact me at any time if assistance is needed and a Google Resources folder that includes helpful digital/online resources, that I'm constantly adding too, for independent study for the student!

As mentioned before, I started tutoring Freshman year of High School for our Kiwanis Key Club as community service! I realized I had a lot to offer to students, was an effective and efficient tutor, and actually enjoyed the work, after that I started to try to excel in it and get my name out to the community. I have a goal to become a High School teacher at my High School, I enjoy working with others and am a people person.

In my past, I've worked with a number of students from different backgrounds and ages! Iv tutored Kindergarteners all the way up to 10th graders in multi and various subject sessions. I am now certified to work with students with various learning disabilities such as ADHD, Autism, and Down Syndrome. And ALOT of difficult students, I seem to manage though!

I am not exactly sure what this question is asking, so ill talk about one of the fondest and memorable experiences in my life, this takes place in the developing third world country of Ghana, West Africa, where I spent three months last year studying abroad and partaking in a medical internship/volunteer program. I would consider it one of the most impactful sights I've ever seen, while I was in the triage area of a regional hospital in the eastern region in Ghana in a fairly large yet underdeveloped town of Koforiudia. A trama rolled in, a 7-year-old boy presenting with high fever, hallucinations, and coughing up blood, apparently, the historically irritate mother carried him a whole two miles to the nearest hospital seeking medical treatment when she believed that the symptoms were too severe. Almost instantly after she walked through the doors her son was unconscious. One of the nurses rushed to the backroom to rush back with a gurney to set the child on, as an entire team of resilient and hardworking but underfunded and undersupplied medical team rushed to the bedside to surround the boy to provide immediate emergency medical treatment. Unfortunately, shortly later, the boy no longer is alive and has coded, they give a dose of epinephrine...and that's it, the triage emergency room doesn't have a defibrillator and the boy is dead. I never realized he passed until they senselessly put a sticker on his chest with his information and put a sheet over the boy then a nurse wheeled him to the morgue, the parent was absolutely hysterical as she rolled and cried profusely on the floor yet no one comforted her, so I gave her a hug and she just let it happen, I could tell she appreciated the comfort, the staff of the hospital obviously were tied of the ruckus caused by her, they then asked her to LEAVE. There isn't a particular moral or center to this story, it's simply something to reflect on, a boy is dead because of the lack of educational medical standards and resources as a result of a weak government and infrastructure. It makes you thankful for what you have and realizes your own problem in no way compare to the basic necessities of life some don't have around the world, some as simple as clean drinking water.

I would recommend that the student do their research on who they were hiring, don't waste your money! Most importantly make sure they can tend to YOUR needs, someone who is able to best suit you.
