I love instilling confidence in students that they are able to do complex math problems. Sometimes students feel deflated or defeated when something is not easy to grasp. With patience and encouragement, they are able to push through and realize that when they apply themselves, they can do more than they originally thought!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Each student is unique and has unique needs. It is important that I get feedback on what the student's goals are, assess what their trouble points are, and build a lesson around their needs to ensure that they are successful in reaching their educational goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a Math Teacher at Mariners Christian School. I have been an educator for 10 years and have the skills and expertise to help students gain ground in the world of mathematics. I individualize lesson plans and use differentiated instruction to ensure that students are strengthening content understanding.
