Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
You can submit an inquiry about what the need of the student is via email or by calling us. Then we will schedule a 1 hour free session to assess student's need and to see if there is a good chemistry with the teacher. We will send you a report from our teacher about the session, and will make recommendations based on the student's needs and ability. After that, you can decide if you would like to schedule regular sessions or not.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All our teachers have at least a B.A. degree, but most of them have M.A. degree. 90% of our teachers have a teaching credential, and have experience teaching. 10% of our teachers are professionals who majored in Math or Science and have higher degree, so they can tutor high level Math or Science classes including AP level.

How did you get started teaching?
I am the owner and director at Keystone Learning Center. I always loved teaching students even when I was young, so that natually led me to get a teaching credential. I've worked in private and public schools. I've worked for a private test preparation company as well for more than 10 years as a counselor and director. Now, I have my own tutorial center where I can help students who are struggling with school work to gain confidence and get better.
What types of students have you worked with?
We get all kinds of students. We have students who are struggling with school and needs to improve, or doing well in school but wants to go beyond. We have students working keeping up with school, or doing test preparations whenever they need help.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I just love seeing our students improve and feel good about their improvements.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a tutor in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who cares for your need, go above and beyond to help you any way they can. He/she must be knowledgeable, but also be able to teach you so you can understand.
