I'm a high school student and my major is Pre-cal. I'm passionate with Math and achieve a lot of certificates and awards in many contests. I have 1-year experience in tutoring and willing to improve myself to help students approach their goals. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First impression is important. Tutors need to be friendly but serious with their work and be willing to help their students with difficulties. Create a productive environment for students to demonstrate their talents.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have Advanced Math Classes and study to solve the problem in different ways. Besides, I also took Leadership Class to learn how to communicate with students.
How did you get started teaching?
My friend had a brother who is lack of knowledge of Math and on deadline of examinations. I tutored him for 3 months and then he got 9 for his test.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with lazy and inattentive student. During the time I tutored, it's difficult to help him concentrate on his study and be ready to challenge.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I don't have many experiences on tutoring but I think most of students will need a strict tutor to help them improve their study.
