What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student, I always start by discussing the student's main goals, as well as going over what the student needs the most help on. I always like to introduce myself so that the student can know who they are working with. It is best a student comes prepared with specific problems, but I can work with general topics as well.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In middle school, I was apart of my school's G.A.T.E. program, which highlights my strong capability to take on accelerated course work. Now in high school, I take a mix of AP and honors classes, including: Model United Nations, AP Calc AB, AP Bio, etc. I also have been a volunteer tutor for our school's NHS program and love volunteering through other clubs. I also take on many leadership roles, including an ASB committee leader, Key Club VP, and founded two clubs. Outside of school, I am a confirmation leader for my local church.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students that are my grade (junior year 11th) and below. I can especially work with younger children as I have a 10 year old sister who I also help with as well.
