Hi! My name is Sigal and I've been tutoring higher level math and business courses for almost a decade. I have a degree in Business Economics with an Accounting Emphasis and Math Minor from UCSB (class of 2012).
I have worked as a financial analyst and as an auditor, and I passed all of the CPA exams back in 2017. However, my primary passion is helping others, especially in my areas of expertise.
I have always loved math, and I strive to make complex subject matter accessible to all types of students. I am thoroughly engaged during a lesson, and I feel invested in my students' success.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I assess each student's individual learning style and adapt my teaching to match what they will be most receptive to. I give a lot of encouragement to help keep their confidence level up, and I come up with a study plan that will help them strengthen the areas with which I find them struggling. During a lesson, I like to be fully engaged with my student and make sure no questions are left unanswered. I ensure they have the tools to succeed on the test no matter how the questions will be asked.

Degree: Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics with an Accounting Emphasis and Math Minor
Experience: I have been tutoring higher level math for over 10 years and have been tutoring Economics, Accounting, Finance, and Statistics for over 6 years. I also have a lot of experience with special needs students.
