Hi. My name is Tai, and I graduated from Harvard College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. I have had extensive private tutoring and consulting experience helping many students do well and achieve A’s in math, science, and English classes through much practice and secret tips and strategies. I also help students develop and maintain a confident and positive mindset for success in exams, classes, and in life. I also helped Harvard undergraduates in Calculus, Biology, Organic Chemistry, and History as a peer tutor at the Harvard Bureau of Study Counsel. In addition, as a counselor at the Quest Scholars Program at Stanford University, I took part in tutoring and mentoring 21 academically gifted high school students in the nation in SAT math and verbal, environmental science, and writing and editing college admissions essays.
Overall, I genuinely believe that one of the main secrets to students doing well on standardized tests is establishing a positive mindset and confident attitude, which can be developed through rigorous and methodical practice of problems and test-taking skills.
I am most passionate about being an academic mentor and psychological coach, instilling in my students a positive sense of confidence and determination to do well on standardized exams and succeed in their classes.
I know that with much hard work and diligence, I can bring the out the best in each student that I help.
Tai is a good tutor but unfortunately the overall experience wasn’t and ended abruptly. He was constantly concerned about getting paid even though I paid him in advance of each session, we couldn’t get a consistent day/time of the week. Both were tolerable but on the last occasion he was scheduled to tutor a day before a test, he rescheduled to the next day (test day) and then changed the tutoring time, repeatedly, knowing my daughter was very concerned about the test and the whole point of the session was to review problems and be prepped for the test in advance. He kept promising he would meet, saying he would get on zoom and then didn’t. The day was ruined and my daughter was unable to prep like she hoped. She was very stressed and had a hard time with her test. It was an extremely upsetting experience. It seemed like he was trying to do some other project but wasn’t honest with us and kept changing plans on my daughter, not considering her schedule and what she was going through. We won’t be working with him again.
Tai is simply the best all-around tutor I have had. He genuinely helps you to master the materials and to feel good when you get the right answers. He also prepares you in depth to make sure you get the A on your exams. I most highly recommend Tai. He is a big time help and is worth the price! Thank you so much Tai!
Tai is an amazing tutor! He takes his time with explaining the materials and going over different math problems. He creates conversation so one can feel comfortable throughout the session. I got a solid A with his help! I could not have done it without his expertise and professionalism. I would highly recommend Tai for anybody. He is worth the price! Thank you Tai!
I hired Tai for Intermediate Algebra. If you are searching for a tutor who not only helps with mastering the subject material but also places your success as his/her main priority, Tai is the tutor for you. I felt complete confidence in myself after our study sessions. This was the best experience to feel the confidence Tai gave me. I now know I can get A with his help :)
