About
For the past five years I have taught mathematics in middle school, high school and college ranging from 6th grade math to Differential Equations. I have tutored students outside of school in mathematics and ACT prep.
I like helping students feel successful at something they previously struggled with. When students understand that they don't have to do every problem perfectly, they start to succeed.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Identifying goals with both the parents or teachers and the student is integral to having everyone feel successful. I spend a lot of time in the first session asking the student to explain how they are working through the problem to identify what about the process is impeding their success. Finally, I think it's important to give the student a mix of easy, intermediate and difficult problems each day to gage how well they are progressing.
