I've am currently a middle school math teacher and have been teaching for 13 years. I love working with students of all ages and I especially love helping students understand math!
I enjoy watching students go from not understanding a concept to being able to complete a problem on their own.

Julie was patient and thorough with my son while tutoring him in Algebra. She was dependable and prompt. There were a few times we had to cancel last minute, and she was always very accommodating.

When I first started I was so overwhelmed, I was positive I would never pass this class. Julie helped break everything down into pieces that I understood. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always try to start on the level of the student. I use a lot of visual tools to help students understand mathematical processes. I always provide notes at the end of each sessions for the student and their parents.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently working on my master's in secondary education.
