Elite Tutoring & Test Prep
About
I represent a tier of tutors that is at the upper end of the spectrum. This is demonstrated by my abilitiy to hone in on key areas where students are lacking in fundamentals, as well as assessing what kind of personality/learner they are in order to help them best. I come into lessons without requiring preparation, and in most cases I don't even need to see your notes. This is because I know the material inside and out and can discuss any topic at the drop of a hat.
I enjoy working with students because I enjoy helping people. More specifically, the liberation that one feels when they rise above an issue which has been troubling them is what I live to deliver. I believe that I was meant to help people because I derive so much joy from doing so. I also enjoy allowing people to pursure their desires and live to their fullest potential, both in and outside of the classroom.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically, I get to know the student by getting to know them as a person first. I ask about hobbies and interests, as this can be a foundation for later bonding. I then ask them about what kind of student they are, such as what areas/subjects generally given them trouble and which subjects they enjoy or do well in.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I obtained my degree in astrophysics with a minor in mathematics. I have worked for a large number of tutor companies as well as developed my own with colleagues. I have also had training related to test prep (SAT/ACT & ISEE/SSAT,) as well as trained others in these same areas.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching back in freshman year of highschool when I realized that a lot of my fellow students in my geometry class were struggling. I offered those students help after school or during lunch. I just felt like it was the right thing to do. Since that day, I have not looked back and have continued to tutor all age ranges in a variety of subjects.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with young students (~5th grade,) high school students, college students, and working professionals. I have worked with students with leraning disabilties and troubled youth. I have had wide range of learners and personality types throughout my 15+ years of tutoring.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
It is not one event but an event that occurs frequently. This is when students text me how happy they are after receiving a good grade, or gaining admittance to a college that they were really hoping to get into.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I believe that a lot of people hire a tutor based on qualifications alone. Perhaps ask for a quick tip in relation to a problem you're currently stuck on, or ask them to talk about "how tricky" a certain subject is. You will see if they are VERY familiar with the subject or not based on the way they speak. A lot of tutors require "preparation" for lessons. In my case, you can call me up and discuss just about anything and I will have answers ready for you in an instant. I know the material inside and out and I believe this is what separates a good tutor from a mediocre one.
