What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Tutoring sessions take place in the library or online only. I definitely want to get to know the person I'm working with. Learning about the student and his/her struggles in school is important because I want to help with that. It's important to understand everybody is different. Especially during this pandemic. I understand it's been hard for parents and also kids because learning outside of school just isn't the same. Extra help and practice is very necessary during these times.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
- I've worked with kids basically my whole life. Have taken multiple child development classes to learn more and am using my skills to expand my capability as a caregiver/tutor.
