Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will get to know the student and work with them to understand what method of learning works best for them. I will then apply that method of learning during the tutoring session. I also like to take a little bit of time to introduce myself and get to know the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been helping students at my former high school since I was a sophomore. Now that I'm in college I like to keep helping students grow in high school. I went through high school recently and know what worked well for me and want to give students my same strategies and tips on what works and doesn't work well. In the past, I was able to help students learn and grow a better understanding of the math or science class they were working on.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My rate is 20 dollars an hour and 15 for half an hour. I can work on weekends or weekdays whatever better suits the need of the student.
How did you get started teaching?
In high school, I was excelling in my math class so my teacher asked me to help other students. From there I would do private sessions after school to help students in my class or from other grades with the course material.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with various high schoolers and middle schoolers who are mostly guys. But I am happy to help any student that is looking for help in a subject.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone that the student will look forward to talking to and engaging with. If they want to be able to get help and communicate with the tutor they will be pushed to learn the class content easier.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
